Though I have attended the odd event where people other than the re-enactors were in costume and it gives it a more festival-like vibe. Joust was a good one for that kind of thing. Mind you, What i would like to see is a similar thing that happens at American Renaissance Faires and Faerie Gatherings over the pond.. More people attending these events and indeed event organisers asking people to attend in Costume.. I`m on a mission to write to as many UK organisers to ask them to start advertising this fact.
