June 9th is the start of three days of enchantment and faerie fun held in Berkley Springs, West Virginia (USA) organised by the Morgan Arts Council. It begins on Friday with a costumed parade and opening of the ‘Midsummers Night’s Dream’ art show featuring faerie themed pieces from lots of different artists including James Browne and Brigid Ashwood. Saturday daytime you can visit the medieval fair, or join in the treasure trail around town to participate in a variety of events being hosted in shops, like wand workshops, face painting and costume competitions. It is Saturday evening which promises to be the most spectacular part of the weekend, with a fabulous Fairy Ball held in Berkeley Castle. On Sunday, if you’re not too tired from dancing the night away, you have the chance to see the art show again or have a wander around the lovely looking town of Berkeley Springs.

Actually James Browne’s work will NOT be at the show. Sorry!

Oh, MY! What a wonderful time was had by all the glamourous faeries and mortals who came to celebrate this event!
The IceHouse faerie art show is extraordinary (this will hang all month), and the Ball was memorable!
From dancing in the full moonlight to ghost sightings in the castle, we won’t soon forget this magical experience.
