Project 100 Fae

The intriguing Project 100 Fae is one artist’s attempt to explore and define what a faerie looks like. Kurt Brugel is going to paint one hundred 8 ½ x 11” paintings which will explore his ideas, and on reaching 100 hopes to have confirmed his own vision of a faerie. Kurt works instinctively, each painting is a stream of consciousness but there are elements which are reoccurring. Pointed ears, wings and halos have already been established, but the different faeries painted so far and quite diverse. Some have a definite urban feel while others follow a more traditional view. Fae Nation will be following Kurt’s progress and we very much look forward to seeing what his ‘ultimate’ faerie looks like.
