Starting on Thursday 17th and running until August 20th the city of Paimpol (Côtes d’Armor – Brittany) is playing host to a medieval and fairy market. As well as the sights and sounds of Medieval life, including armourers, food, music, crafts and antiques, there will be an emphasis on Fairy and Fairytales with art and storytellers. Brittany is a region known for it’s rich folklore and is steeped in myth and legend.

Viona Ielegems is a talented young photographer from Belgium who creates haunting images of gothic princesses and mysterious maidens. Silvanelle is an exhibition of her work exploring the themes of Otherworlds and elfin enchantresses to be held at Gallerie Lucien Scheitzer (Luxembourg) on Saturday August 26th. This private view will also have live Celtic music and feature costumed Ladies to create a mythic feel.
