Faerie Rings Jewellery

Lynette Miller created the Faerie Rings collection after a life long fascination with Faerie and Folk Lore. Each month new designs are introduced which feature flowers and gems associated with that time of year and are available in sterling silver or 14 carat gold. The faerie sized rings are just ½ inch across and are designed to be worn on a chain or charm bracelet. There are tiny wands, slippers and human sized rings available too so you can mix and match to create your own look.

Just a bit of fun – if you have ever wanted to try a spot of Glamourbombing but didn’t know where to start, here is a simple project for you.
Simply save the TROLLco card and print it out. Fill in your Troll’s details and leave under your nearest bridge! You can set a scene by leaving suitably grubby coffee mugs or playing cards, as if the under bridge operative has just popped out for a while.
To save right click the picture and ‘save as’, or drag to desktop. Print on good quality thick paper or thin card. Finally, you could laminate the card or use a plastic ID wallet to make it look ‘professional’.
The Fairy’s Garden

I am utterly enamoured with The Fairy’s Garden, purveyors of 12th scale miniatures to transform your garden into a fairy haven. Here you will find bridges and paths; garden adornments (look for the fairy warning sign!); seats and planters – everything you need to create your own magical garden. There are also limited edition dwellings available to complete the scene.
Each piece is crafted to withstand the harshest elements and individually hand painted. You can find miniature varieties of lots of plants at your local garden centre if you want your fairy garden to stay in scale, but it would look equally enchanting nestled under people sized plants.
Kevin Buntin and the Hedge-Boggles

Welcome to the land of the Hedge-Boggles – guardians of the Borderlands also known as Hedge. Kevin Buntin’s creations are not merely sculptures – each is a character with a story to tell and an individual place in the myths of the Hedgerow. Ruled by the Queen Trillium, these lands are also home to Green Maids and Pillywiggins (and more!), and is fiercely defended against marauding goblins, trolls and humans. Further explorations of the site will uncover all manner of creatures including faeries, sprites, and pumpkins. At first glimpse it all appears very whimsical but when you read the stories you’ll see it is firmly rooted in folklore (or as Kevin puts it ‘copyright free fodder’!).

The Endicott Studio is ‘an interdisciplinary organisation dedicated to the creation and support of mythic art’. Founded in 1987 it is directed by Terri Windling and Midori Snyder and features contributions from an international circle of mythic artists and scholars. While the scope goes beyond the realms of faerie the online Journal of Mythic Art contains many articles of interest to faerie lovers. Each quarterly issue explores a different theme in myth and folklore and it is well worth taking the time to delve into the extensive archives.
