The Arthur Rackham Society
September 21st, 2006

The Arthur Rackham Society is dedicated to the work of the English Illustrator of the same name. Arthur Rackham is one of the Edwardian period’s best loved illustrators, having brought to life many favourite fairytales and fantastic stories including ‘Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens’, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Grimm’s Fairy Tales’. His gossamer faeries, mischievous gnomes and sometimes sinister anthropomorphic trees are instantly recognisable and have inspired many artists since. The Society publishes a journal three or four times a year and has good resource pages for people wanting to learn more about this important artist.
