Celtic Juju Fantasy Sculpture
December 21st, 2006

Julie Ann Rogers is a doll maker based in New Mexico. Entirely self-taught, Julie has been creating all her life, and working with polymer clay for the last 15 years. Her dolls are graceful characters, sculpted from polymer clay with soft bodies so they can be posed. I love the Fairy tassels – a sculpted head and torso with the tassel forming the skirt. They come with a hook so they can be hung up for display. Filed under Sculpture | Comment (0)
Fancy Fairy – Wings and Fairy Finery
December 20th, 2006

Iridescent wings are currently all the range for fashionable faeries, but this is where is all started. Angela Jarman created her first pair of iridescent wings around 5 years ago, but Fancy Fairy is her new site dedicated entirely to fairy finery. The wings are handmade from transparent vinyl over wire veins, giving a very realistic look. They are lightweight and fully poseable, and the clear straps helping to disguise the fact you weren’t actually born with wings! Also on the site are an assortment of faerie costumes, jewellery and hair accessories. Filed under Faeriewear | Comment (0)
Twig Wizardry Fairy Houses
December 19th, 2006

Belief is the driving force between Twig Wizardry, that, and an awful lot of Willow twigs. Their first house was created for a friend, but now this Colorado couple can make your dream Faerie residence from salvaged wood and antique metal. The interiors are bursting with handcrafted details, and are fully lit. The Willow twig furniture alone is awesome to behold, and the houses are so enchanting you could almost wish to be faerie sized yourself. Filed under Art & Illustration | Comment (1)

December 18th, 2006
On Virtual Cards UK you will find a vast range of contemporary fantasy artists whose images are available to send as e-cards. Simply browse by Artist or subject matter, select your card and fill in the details of your message and recipient. E-cards make excellent alternatives to their ‘real life’ counterparts – not only do they save you money but they are also kinder to the environment. Plus, they are suitable for lots of different occasions (even if you just fancy saying hello!).
