Willows Lullaby by Priscilla Hernández
Beware …
Beware …
Go to find a safer place to rest
When you hear the willow’s hiss
beware if you dare dream ‘neath its leaves
beware, go to find a safer place
An impromptu bit of filming whilst on a visit to London resulted in the creation of a special web-only video for ‘The Willow’s Lullaby’ by Priscilla Hernández. From her CD ‘Ancient Shadows’, it is the bittersweet lullaby of a willow that will steal away your soul while you sleep.

Sarah Blank is a textile artist who creates wonderful appliqué Faerie bags and art quilts. Using a variety of luscious antique and modern fabrics, Sarah creates these wearable pieces of art which are them embellished with hand painted details, metallic threads and accent charms. I love the little details like the leaf ties, and the secret interior appliqué on the inner pocket.

Tangle
Tangle skips to spring bare feet,
neath blossom blooms to dance and leap,
to Bluebell tunes within her dreams,
midst Cherry petals on the breeze.
Tangle’s ridden mad March Hares,
to Elfin kingdoms Faery fairs,
A Hawk whose feathers in her hair,
guides her home so she may share.
If you’ve respect then she may tell,
of folklore lost and Faery spells,
so listen gently, listen well,
and you may hear her Bluebell bells.
