The Wychwood Brewery

Based in the historic town of Witney and named after the nearby ancient Wych Wood forest, the Wychwood Brewery produces a wide selection of traditional and organic ales. The names and artwork on the bottles are inspired by many myths and legends surrounding the forest, including the Legendary Hobgoblin ale. A number of ales are available including Wychcraft and Circle Master, and look out for the new the Green Goblin cider. Artists who have produced labels for the brewery include Eg Org and Chris Bohanna.

The miniature houses created by Fairy Woodland are truly exquisite. Crafted from twig and stone, shell and sand, each house is intended to be a living sculpture – a real dwelling place of magic. They all have stories to tell which are written down to accompany the houses as they find their way into people’s homes and gardens. Every house is unique and current examples are available to buy through the website. To complement your new fairy residence, a variety of bases, accessories and furniture are also available.

Visitors to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset will find something sinister lurking in the caves. The Crystal Quest is a fantasy adventure featuring elves, dragons, evil sorcerers and a host of particularly nasty looking goblins. As you move through the caves the story of the Crystal of Light and it’s theft from the elves by the evil Mordon unfolds, culminating with a battle with a smoke breathing dragon. It is entertaining way to spend half an hour, but don’t expect world-class special effects! The ticket prices includes entry into the spectacular show caves also in the gorge.
In near-by Wookey Hole, another rather impressive cave system, visitors can relax in the newly created enchanted Fairy garden on the banks of the river Axe.
Glow In The Dark Fairy Paths

I can see so many Glamourbombing possibilities with the Starglow resin chips from Glowtec. The gravel-like chips are made from non-toxic glow in the dark resin and are safe for use indoors and out, and are completely water resistant so can be used in ponds too. They would be great for marking Fairy paths and rings through gardens and woods, which only appear with a magical glow once it is dark. It comes in green, red, blue and purple, so you can mix and match colours for even more spectacular results.
