Art by Noadi

Sheryl ‘Noadi’ Westleigh, is a multimedia artist living in the mountains of Western Maine. Her talents encompass sculpture, digital art and traditional media, predominately working in the fantasy genre. It is her sculpture that really stands out however, with a number if very unusual pieces including a Geisha fairy, bonsai Dryads, a Satyr and the fantastic Each Uisge shown above. This demon water horse, also known a Kelpie, has a seaweed mane and tail, and folklore tells how they would drag anyone who strays too close to the water’s edge to their watery deaths.

Jean-baptiste Monge is a French illustrator with a number of lovely faerie books to his name. À la Recherche de Féerie (In Search of Faerie) volume I and II, and the latest Carnet de Croquis sketchbook are crammed full of his endearing little folk. Monge’s style is very Froudian inspired in places, as well as a hint of Will Huygen’s classic ‘Gnomes’, but he makes them his own. There is a fantastic attention to detail, and the animals are as beautifully rendered as his Fées and Lutins.
