Odd Fae And Autumn Things

September 13th, 2007

Odd Fae

“Treefolk and witches, merfolk and wizards… fugitives from fairy tales, figments of the imagination, the slightly-off-center, the Green Man and Others…” And what a splendid selection of Odd Fae and others are on view. The work of artist Dawn M Schiller, Odd Fae is a wonderfully whimsical collection of art dolls and figures, which are bound to raise a smile. In addition to the costumes figures, Dawn also sculpts the exceedingly curious Podgurneys, Hermits and the Seidh (pronounced Seed) – a tribe of Little Folk who inhabit seedpods and sea shells.

Fairy Raid for Peace

September 11th, 2007

Fairylove

Purveyors of impossibly funky fairy wings and other fineries, Fairylove, have organised a fairy raid in central London on September 21st to celebrate, promote and support Peace One Day. They aim to gather as many faeries as possible for a procession which will follow a route through the city, culminating in a gathering outside the Royal Albert Hall before the Peace One Day concert. On the way they will hand out wishes to everyone they meet and spread the word about Peace One Day. They are trying to set the world record for the largest number of Faeries in one place, so if you can make it do go along and join in the fun! For more details join the Fairylove mailing list.
