Studio Aelfling – Art by Lea Sheler
November 20th, 2007

Lea Sheler is a multi-media artist whose illustrations and sculptures are inspired by JRR Tolkein and mythic imagination. I particularly like Farley, a ’stray sod’, shown above. These mischievous little fae, when trodden upon by an unobservant traveller, cause them to go completely astray. All familiar landmarks seem to disappear and the unwary traveller thinks himself completely lost. Only turning an item of clothing inside out can counteract the stray sod’s tricks.
