Saskia Hoeber is a figurative artist from the Netherlands. She first began sculpting dolls from polymer clay in 1988, and today specialises in Crystal Fairies. To create these unique sculptures Saskia starts with a crystal, some cut and polished, some in a more raw state, and adds the fairy to perfectly complement the colours and ‘personality’ of the stone. The mermaids are similarly sculpted to perch atop gorgeous polished sea shells. Whether or not you believe in any special powers attributed to crystals, the results are extremely attractive and a make a wonderful way to display the sculptures.
