Faery Medicine is home to the art of Kirsten Schwartz, and features nature spirits from indigenous cultures from around the world. The project began as a way to embody the history and folklore of medicinal plants and keep their wisdom alive in a ‘magical and entertaining’ way. The faeries began to sneek into Kirsten’s botanical illustrations, and Faery Medicine was born. When the paintings are exhibited they are accompanied by a faerytale, telling the folklore of the plant and it’s medicinal uses.
