From a workshop at the bottom of her garden, Catherine Henchie brings The Fairy Kingdom that little bit closer with her wonderful range of Fairy doors and houses. The doors are made from reclaimed timber and are delightfully quirky with lots of different designs. The houses are quite magical, with all the little details like wooden shingle roofs and frosted glass windows. There are also a range of accessories and furniture available, and best of all – Fairy footstep stencils (I’m sure it wouldn’t be considered cheating!). Doors can be personalised, or Catherine can build a special Faerie house just for you.

I can see so many Glamourbombing possibilities with the Starglow resin chips from Glowtec. The gravel-like chips are made from non-toxic glow in the dark resin and are safe for use indoors and out, and are completely water resistant so can be used in ponds too. They would be great for marking Fairy paths and rings through gardens and woods, which only appear with a magical glow once it is dark. It comes in green, red, blue and purple, so you can mix and match colours for even more spectacular results.

“The Friend Catchers specialise in the capture of fairy folk, using an ointment made from a four leafed clover we can protect you from their magic powers, so please never let them escape from their jars as we cannot be responsible for the consequences.”
Depending on your disposition, these freshly caught Fairy Folk from the Friend Catchers are either terribly cute or rather on the upsetting side, but whether you chose to liberate or continue the incarceration of your new found friend they won’t fail to raise a smile. You can chose from a selection of well-known faerie types from across Great Britain and Ireland, including Piskies, Brownies, Leprechauns and Hobs. If you find it all too inhumane (infaemane?) you can instead find a splendid selection of fairy doors, wall plaques, mirrors and light pulls with which to adorn your home.
