Fantasy artist Carol Ochs is also a soap maker, and her new venture combines both these interests in the form of Wylde Faerie Soaps. These scrummy looking soaps are hand crafted and contain carefully selected ingredients known to be wildly attractive to the Faerie Folk. Exotic perfumers Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab have introduced two new scents to their Stardust line, based on Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name.
Fairy Wine ~ An ethereal vintage, steeped with dandelion, honey, and red currants.
Lady Una ~ Honey musk, green tea leaf, blackberry leaf, vanilla bean, and fae spices.
All proceeds from sales of the Stardust perfume oils goes to the Comic Book Legal Defence Fund.
Up From The Ashes

Up From the Ashes is a joint venture to promote Rebecca and Julia’s creations. Rebecca makes wings and accoutrements for mythical creatures. The wings are of a sturdy wire construction which allows them to fold (very useful for narrow doorways and crowded events!) and the fabric is airbrushed with iridescent paint. They are finished off by hand with flowers, gems and feathers, making each pair unique. Julia, on the other hand, makes scrumptious sounding bath and herbal products. You can choose from soap, lotions and bath salts in seven different scents, including Fairy Glen – ‘A green floral bouquet reminiscent of walking through a field of roses’.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has launched a collection of perfume oil blends based on Neil Gaiman’s ‘Stardust’ (the film to be released immanently!). The series is inspired by the characters, locations, ideas and dreams found within the story, and includes:
Fairy Market – Otherworldly golden incense, blooming wind-flowers, everlasting lavender, bluebell, a faint whiff of exotic sugared candies, and fae mist upon wet green grass.
Tristran – Dust on your trousers, mud on your boots, and stars in your eyes: redwood, tonka bean, white sandalwood, lemon peel, patchouli, rosewood, coriander, and crushed mint.
Victoria – Graceful vanilla musk, tea rose, and stargazer lily.
The Witch Queen – Wild plum, red musk, tuberose, calla lily, heliotrope, pimento, ylang ylang and beeswax beneath a dark haze of sinister purple-hued incense smoke.
Yvaine – The high, crystalline scent of a star-filled night with blue lavender and lush magnolia.
Proceeds from the sale of the Stardust collection go to the Comic Book Legal Defence Fund.
