The Living Garden

Enter a magical world of living fountains, rock creatures, flowers and vines. The Living Garden blends illusion, movement and music – this performance group brings nature to life at events across the world. The awe-inspiring performances include a statue of a woman who comes alive as delicate jets of water fountain from her fingers; devine – a seemingly ordinary vine draped across a wall which gracefully animates; an exotic orchid who interacts with astonished onlookers; and a man hewn from rock who can disappear into his habitat.

While joining the League may not be suitable for everyone, they do have an excellent ‘Faery Handbook’ available to read on-line.

Kubiando!

August 18th, 2006

A word heard on many a tongue of faerie revellers across the world, the Kubiando site tells how this magical word was a gift from the Fae via a little girl with one foot in Faerieland. ‘Kubi’ relates to a House Spirit, and ‘ando’ means blessing or bliss, so quite literally a blessing from the heart (for the home is where the heart is). But Kubiando is more than a word, it is a way of living, of relating to the universe and planet Earth and being an inspiration and inspiring those around you. The Kubiando tale is now being transformed into lyrical verse so it’s message can continue to be spread around the world.

If you’ve been to the Spoutwood Farm Fairie Festival you’ll probably have seen Posie, one of the ‘celebrefairies’ and co-producer of the event. Throughout the rest of the year Posie brings a little of that faerie fun to children’s parties in the South Central Pennsylvania (USA) area and creates a vast array of fantasy wearables including wings, horns and wands. There is a choice of party packages, where guests are transformed into fairies or dragons and participate in a variety of activities, games and crafts.
