Under the Woods Faeries

December 21st, 2011

Underwood Photography is a portrait studio based in Essex, MA. An encounter with a faery ring 8 years ago led to the founding of an annual Faery Festival, held at the studio every June. This event now welcomes over 500 little faeries and is having to move to larger premises to accommodate everyone. Jacqueline’s award winning faery portraits are available as a 2012 calendar published by Avalanche.

The Eco Faeries

July 13th, 2011

Based in Australia the Eco Faeries are a vibrant group of eco-activists intent on bringing faeries back to nature, nature back to the suburbs and suburbia back to community. Through conscious community events, environmental education and creative entertainment they aim to inspire people towards a greener, healthier and positive action based lifestyle. Founded by Faerie Cara, performer, author, and TV presenter, the Eco Faeries encourage everyone to get involved in bringing magic and green living to every day life.

New Venue for 3 Wishes Faery Fest

February 21st, 2011

Our favourite faery gathering 3 Wishes Faery Fest is moving to a beautiful new venue for 2011. Mount Edgecumbe Counry Park in Cornwall is a stunning 800 acre estate including ancient woodland, a fairy folly, secret coves and deer park, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The festival will be centered around the Cedar Lawn which features a beautiful crystal and shell mermaids throne overlooking the site. It’s the perfect place to frolic in the Midsummer sunshine this 17th-19th June.
The lineup has also started to be announced – bands this year include 3 Daft Monkeys, The Dolmen, Daughters of Gaia, Freyia, Aero, Spriggan Mist, Elfin Spiral, Beneath The Oak, Malachite, Taking the Piskies, Elizabeth-Jane Baldry, Ziazan and more to be confirmed.
If you haven’t been before watch the video below to give you a magical glimpse of last year’s event.
