Martin Winckles (also known as Evil Bald Guy!) has been creating fabulous fantasy leather goods for some time and has now set up a website where you can view his work. His creations include bags, armour and hats, and all are hand made to the highest standards. Details include hand carved patterns and leaf appliqués, and brass fixtures. Martin welcomes commissions and will work with you to create your perfect bag or unique costume armour.

Perfect for elves who want to blend in to their forest surroundings, Elfleaf Design’s wonderful clothing range is entirely constructed using leaf shapes. Their clothes include dresses, hooded vests, skirts, and tops. The silk and velvet fabrics are luxurious enough for special occasions, while Lycra dresses and pants and fleece hoodies are perfect for everyday wear. Faeries! Don’t get caught short in a downpour! With this lovely leafy umbrella by Jansen & Co. you can shelter ‘neath leaves any time the rain begins to fall. Only £19.50 from Dutch By Design.

Victoria Baume (aka Trixie Pixie) is the creative force behind Faery Kisses. Her jewellery is lovingly hand crafted in silver, accented with ribbons and beads and recycled fabrics. Talking about her work, Victoria says “A lot of my pieces have been inspired by myths and folklore, especially of the faerie kin because of its fun and endless possibilities. I feel a strong connection to the fae realms and so my work reflects this respect and love for the magick they bring.”.Every piece is made to order and it is possible, for example on the Flutter Faeries, to use fabric which is special to you, resulting in a totally unique and personal piece. Commissions are also welcomed.

Based in the UK, The Faerie Wing Shoppe offers lovely realistic wings and other faerie finery, including circlets and dainty flower-adorned shoes. The wings are hand made with ‘love and magic’ and can be created in whatever colours or sizes you wish. Their construction means you can slide the frame down a tight fitting top and forego straps, giving the appearance of the wings really sprouting from your back.
Sarah Duxbury, the wing creator, has also organised a Faerie Ball, the first gathering in the North of England for faerie folk. The event takes place on May 1st in Lancashire, and includes a day time market and evening ball with meal and entertainment. We’re very excited to be going along to join in the revelries!

Inspired by the leaves and trees found in their native Australian forests, Leafy Creations brings you clothing and home accessories to ‘help bring out your inner magical creature…’. The wearables include skirts and waistcoats, hoodies and mittens. For your home, there are cosy leaf-shaped cushions and some really fantastic leafy blankets. Every item is handmade and custom creations are welcomed.

The current issue of UK based alternative fashion/lifestyle magazine AltFashion is Faery themed, with designers Zizzyfay, Van Asch, Timjan Design, and Elven Forest Creations featured. There are photoshoots, tutorials, reviews and more in every issue. I have heard many male friends, and a fair few female ones for that matter, lament the lack of Faerie-inspired clothing for men. Yes there are a few things here and there but they were few and far between. Well now two of our favourite designers, Senjo and Zizzyfay, have come to the rescue!
Senjo’s new collection features tribal-inspired vests and sweaters, plus great loincloths (to be worn over trousers, or not, depending on how brave/hardy you are!). The vests are made in Senjo’s cosy fleece and feature their trademark dragon hoods and leaf patterns. Modelled by Steve Sic of Omnia, you can see above left the Tatsu vest and Tribal loincloth.
Zizzyfay’s new look is quite a departure from their previous faery goddess style. The new collection Unfurled, features items for both men and women. It is a lot earthier than before, in shades of green, brown, black, maroon and purple. There are gorgeous unfurling fern prints and lace-up details. I particularly like the Fyre Fly shrug with its long tail and attached wings. For men, there are t-shirts, kilts and wristwarmers. Most exciting is the gorgeous Puck hoody, shown above right, perfect for frolicking in the woods with nymphs!

Faeries, Dryads and Elementals looking for the perfect outfit should take a peek at Goblin Road. Makers Robert and Rebecca Turk make the most gorgeous leather corsets inspired by the elements and mythical creatures, from the bark-like Wood to the scaly Dragoness. Corsets are custom made to your measurements and can be purchased with a matching skirt to complete the ensemble. Also available are masks, wings, cloaks and cute goblin dolls.

People talk about having a fairytale wedding all the time. Sadly what they really mean is having an expensive, ostentatious and usually very mainstream traditional wedding. However Tricia Fountaine shows us how it should be done. Her beautiful costumes, flowers and décor set the scene for an enchanted woodland wedding presided over by a High Priestess and attended by the loveliest Fae and Bird Folk. Yes, this is a creative project rather than an actual ‘real’ wedding – all the fun but none of the commitment – but it couldn’t fail to inspire should you be planning your own nuptials.
