The Mystical Visions of Judy Mastrangelo

We were excited to learn fairy artist Judy Mastrangelo (one of our Featured Artists) will be visiting the UK this year. Judy is appearing as Guest of Honour at the Magical Faerie Festival in Canterbury, Kent, over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. There will be two workshops hosted by Judy during the festival – Creating Art From One’s Imagination and Creative Drama. The workshops are open to all ages and Judy is an experienced workshop facilitator so they should be a real treat.
Judy has also recently opened an online store, where you can buy original art, prints, and all sorts of lovely things featuring her artwork, including candles, puzzles, jewellery and mugs. Recently added to this list of a range of sweet figurines from Munro Collectibles (shown above).

Cyoakha Grace O’Manion has just released her new Faerie Foto ‘Nature Faeries’ calendar for 2010. The calendar features 12 stunning full colour prints of strong feminine forest faeries. Each image has been created using double exposures on real film, with a really magical result. The calendar is sumptuously printed so the pictures can be framed after use. Pan-religious and Pagan holidays are marked, plus all the moon phases and a monthly Celtic faerie poem. They are selling fast, so order one quickly and start the year in the faerie way!

I am quite excited to see a new collectible doll based on Jasmine Beckett-Griffith’s artwork, the Mytical Flora Fairies. Jasmine’s unique style has translated wonderfully into doll form, with each character being based on her ‘Flowers’ series. They have been released by Ashton Drake, who also make the popular Blythe dolls (and others). The first in the series, Regina the Rose Fairy is available to order now.
