I can only imagine the pure joy of the lucky child who gets to snuggle down in this glorious fairy bedroom every night. I just adore this cute ‘grass’ rug from Vertbaudet, decorated with tiny 3D toadstools. Perfect for adding a little faerie magic to your home (and not just children’s rooms either!). I do think they have missed a trick by not putting the toadstools in a ring around the edge however!
Also from the same retailer is a gorgeous mushroom and elf duvet set (sadly only in cot bed size) and some sweet spotty bedlinen.

What fantasy boudoir could possibly be complete without this gorgeous fairy tale mirror from Anthropologie? Cast in brass and standing 14 inches tall it is just perfect for the fairiest of dressing tables. As a finishing touch, stand it on a wooden chest of drawers adorned with these delicate willow twig handles, also from Anthropologie.

I love the idea of the artist’s tool reinvented as art, as seen in the amazing creations of San Francisco sculptor Agelio Batle. His graphite drawing tools take their forms from the natural world, and include antlers, twigs, flowers, leaves and shells. Each piece can be used to draw and write but thanks to the unique casting process they will not smudge onto your hands as you use them.

I am extremely taken with the beautifully organic interior installations of American artist David Wiseman. Working in porcelain, plaster and bronze he creates ceilings, chandeliers, wall art and other home accents inspired by the natural world that are just dripping with Faerie Glamour!

There is something quite magical about stained glass, and the creations of Magic Moonshadows are no exception. The stunning fantasy designs utilise fabulous jewel-like glass and some incorporate slices of agate, crystals and fossils. The artist Cynthia King makes full windows for installation in buildings, as well as gorgeous hanging panels, sun catchers, mirrors and metal sculptures with glass wings.

Inspiring in so many ways. this is a real family home built into a wooded hillside in Wales. It was constructed (by hand!) with maximum regard for the environment using natural and salvaged materials. The wonderful organic shapes and closeness to nature alone would make all the labour worth while, but when you factor in the £3000 costs it really puts things into perspective. Definitely a faerie friendly way to live!
