Bratz Fashion Pixiez

The latest range from Bratz is the ‘Fashion Pixiez’, a collection of 6 fairy-winged dolls. Sporting glitter make up, flares and tutu’s they look like the kind of girls who would usually be spotted on the open air festival circuit, only a little less muddy. The fashion fantasy continues with two unicorns with long flowing manes and of course an animated film out on DVD at the end of February. The dolls come packaged with a great little ‘magic’ glitter shaker wand and a mini magic pixie friend. Available from all good toy shops, for ages 6+.

Elf Magic

I have no idea where the association between Christmas-time and Elves began, but it is now firmly lodged in popular festive culture. Elf Magic is a site devoted to Christmas Elves, selling soft-bodied Elf dolls, ornaments, hair bows and other festive goodies. Simply select which Elf you wish to ‘adopt’, and he or she will be dispatched from the North Pole in a special elf-size Santa Sack to help your child experience the magic of Christmas.

Fairy Box Children’s Charity

July 12th, 2006

The Fairy Box is a Scottish based charity that exists to support ill children in hospital, their families and the medical and nursing staff involved in their care. The box in question is a themed gift box kept in the ward full of donated books, toys and games, so that parents, medical and nursing staff can choose a gift for a child that is undergoing a difficult time while in hospital.
The charity’s aim is provide a Fairy Box for every children’s ward in Scotland, and are looking for donations of new toys, books, games, CDs and DVDs suitable for children aged 2 – 12, not necessarily with a magical or fairy theme. They also welcome cash donations, or you could perhaps attend one of their fundraisers, which in the past has included an art exhibition and a tea party.

My Fairy Baby

My Fairy Baby Banner

My Fairy Baby is a new site brought to you by Toadstool Farm Art. The idea came about when owner Jacqueline Collen-Tarrolly gave birth to her daughter Antonia. Various artists friends sent gifts, and the seed was sewn to create other beautiful things for all the fairy babies and their enchanted mothers, and bring it all together in a unique shop.
The emphasis is on handmade and limited gifts for babies, toddlers and new mothers. Many well known faerie artists have contributed items and there are other carefully selected gifts of a fairy tale nature. You can find prints, nursery décor, clothing, personalised announcements, even a ‘fairy baby’ photo portrait service. There is also a gift registry service available.
