Beginning today, Donny of Time of the Faeries will be presenting and producing a radio blogshow, bringing listeners interviews with fantasy artists, news from the TOTF world, and discussions concerning the fantasy art scene. The first show airs at 8pm PST tonight and features a chat with artists Christina Davies and Joseph Corsentino, in which they will be discussing Faeriecon and learning a little more about Christina and her art.
The next show is lined up for Thursday November 1st and features Ellen Million, where listeners can learn more about how you go about making money in the fantasy art business.

A Guide to Little People

The Little People site is a a resource of traditional stories and an encyclopaedia of types of little folk. Although it is still being worked on it looks promising, with entries on the more common little people available and readers own stories of their experiences. There is also a links and books list.

Fantasy Artists Emerging, or FAE, is an online community providing support, promotion and networking for Faerie artists, whether established or just starting out. Their monthly Artist Spotlight showcases the work of up and coming artists along with an interview, and they hold bi-annual art contests where artists can submit work on a particular theme. For $50 artists can get a permanent gallery at FAE, but joining the rest of the site is free.

Folk and Fairy is a useful starting point for those wanting to delve deeper into the hidden meanings of the world’s folk and fairy tale traditions.
