Julien Hatswell

Julien Hatswell is an English artist living and working in the idyllic Canterbury countryside. He has been producing highly detailed and accomplished oil paintings of fantasy subjects and mythic landscapes for many years, in between designing, sculpting and casting his original decorative giftware line Baroque Designs. Inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist movements, fragments of Britain’s past also make frequent appearances in his art, with fragments of ruined castles, forlorn abbeys and ancient twisted trees forming the enchanted landscapes. His paintings have appeared in galleries around the world, and can be found as greeting cards and cross stitch patterns.
