Naomi von Monsta

Naomi von Monsta is a 26 year old recent graduate from The University of Brighton with a degree in Illustration. She has always been fascinated by the darker side of folk lore and fairy tales; the wicked and sinister, the unseelie and the slightly odd, and she tries to convey that in her work. She is interested in creating a strange world inhabited by unusual creatures and characters and aims to evoke a narrative within her illustration.
She is inspired by the stories her grandfather used to tell, old twisty forests, swamps, the odd things in nature, wise women, being afraid of the dark and Angela Carter.
Someday she hopes to publish her own stories and illustrations.
