Natalia Pierandrei

Natalia Pierandrei (known as Nati) is a fantasy illustrator born and raised in central Italy. She started drawing at a young age, enchanted by the illustrated children’s books and comics her parents presented to her. The marvellous worlds inside these pages inspired Natalia to want to become a good enough artist to create her own illustrations.
Apart from basic art classes in school Natalia is basically self-taught. She finds inspiration in nature, classical fantasy themes, fairytales, comic books, and the places she’s visited since she was a little girl. After spending two years living in Tokyo there is a strong Japanese influence in her work, but her style is also heavily influenced by Art Nouveau, and European comic books with a penchant for gothic imagery.
Since 2002 Natalia has worked part time as a commissioned illustrator.
